Hey! We’re the Sutterfields!

Originally from good ol’ Omaha, Nebraska! We’ve lived in 5 states (Nebraska, New Mexico, California, Arizona, and Nevada) and moved 13 times before deciding to stop the chase of finding the perfect place to live and let the road become our home.

After so many moves, we realized maybe we just weren’t meant to stay in one place. Instead of buying another house, we bought a truck and a travel trailer. We left New Mexico in November 2021 and headed to our friend’s property in Escondido, California, to begin our full-time RV journey.

We had no idea what was waiting for us, but we haven’t looked back since.

Year 1 was all about learning.

Everything was new. We learned how to tow a trailer, set up camp, dump tanks, conserve water, troubleshoot RV problems, make repairs ourselves, homeschool our boys, budget in a much smaller space, and somehow adjust to living together 24/7. There were plenty of “what did we get ourselves into?” moments, but every challenge taught us something and gave us the confidence to keep going.

Year 2 was all about our first big adventure.

We traveled from Las Vegas to Omaha, Where we spent the entire summer in the Midwest visiting family, checking destinations off our bucket list, and learning that RV life is equal parts incredible views, unexpected repairs, changing plans, and making the best of whatever comes your way.

Year 3 was all about growth.

We stepped outside our comfort zone by becoming camp hosts in a National Forest, started attending more RV events, and even tried out boondocking. We finally started building a real community with fellow travelers, and didn’t feel so alone anymore. We even crossed the border and made it to Mexico!

Year 4 was all about change.

Life threw us a few curveballs, but it also opened new doors. Ashliy became the Maintenance Manager at an RV park, which give us a whole new perspective on campground life from the other side. We discovered that full-time RV life doesn’t have to look the same for everyone.

Year 5 is shaping up to be our biggest year yet.

Our social media community has grown faster than we ever imagined and we’re creating more travel content than ever before. While we’re currently spending more time around Las Vegas because of Jake’s new job, we’re still proving that adventure doesn’t always require hundreds of miles. Sometimes the best memories are made right where you’re parked.

Today, you’ll find us sharing everything that comes with this lifestyle. The amazing destinations, the DIY projects, the campground reviews, the hidden gems, the budget finds, the breakdowns, the laughs, and all the little moments in between. We believe RV life isn’t about having the biggest rig or traveling the farthest. It’s about making memories with the people you love.

We don’t know exactly where the road will take us next, and honestly… that’s part of the adventure.
